Sweet Disorder
DELIGHT IN DISORDER
A sweet disorder in the dress
Kindles in clothes a wantonness:
A lawn about the shoulders thrown
Into a fine distraction:
An erring lace, which here and there
Enthralls the crimson stomacher:
A cuff neglectful, and thereby
Ribbands to flow confusedly:
A winning wave (deserving note)
In the tempestuous petticoat:
A careless shoe-string, in whose tie
I see a wild civility:
Do more bewitch me, than when art
Is too precise in every part.
-Robert Herrick
The story of Sue, bleating Jonathan and a delighted Skye.
I was treated, yet again, to the theatre, and this time I strolled over to Soho. A lovely atmosphere, the area teeming with trendies and although obviously thrilled to be there, I’m not overtly sure what exactly is in store. I’m told beforehand that the production is bizarre and, well, it most certainly is. Not only is it completely far out, it is masterfully and acutely performed by Dafydd James. Dark humour is entangled in engrossing hilarity and after 60 minutes I am left utterly entertained.
Theme: Speaker by Alex Willemyns.
